Andrew M. Chisopo is a Consultant in Agriculture and Agribusiness Practice Area and Data Management at March Associates. He is an Agricultural Economist with over 2 years’ experience in research. He is currently pursuing his MSc Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Zambia (UNZA). He holds a BSc. Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Zambia. Andrew also holds a certificate in Accountancy from the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). Andrew poses skills in statistics and research analysis, designing of data collection instruments, field work supervision, data collection and report writing. Prior to joining March Associates, Andrew worked as Research Analyst and as an Assistant Data Manager for World Bank and UNICEF projects. Andrew has been consulted on several projects and research studies by many other research firms in the region.

His experience include participation in financial inclusion studies, development of an out-grower scheme and a legal framework for the Zambia Aquaculture Enterprise Development Project (ZAEDP), development and execution of a UNICEF research appraisal for the Community Level Case Management System in Zambia, development of the World Bank tablet-based household questionnaire and managing data for the project Supporting Women’s Livelihood (SWL) in Zambia.

He also participated in processing data for the Marginal Effective Tax Rate (METR) Study, VAT Tax Gap Study and Excise Tax Gap Study for the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with George Washington University from USA. Not only this, Andrew also participated in developing the tablet-based data entry platform for the household questionnaire for the Impact Evaluation Amatheon Agri Zambia Out-grower Scheme among others.

Chisopo is proficient in several statistical analysis software such as Stata, SPSS, R, Python and Excel. Andrew is also proficient in designing data collection tools using software such as ODK, SurveCTO, Survey Solutions, Kobo Toolbox, ONA, and Cspro. He has worked in various organisations such as the Zambian Revenue Authority (ZRA), International Growth Centre (IGC), Ministry of Finance – Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ), University of Zambia (UNZA), KCM Green Limited, Palm Associates Limited, ReSCOPE Program, PRS, George Mason University (USA) and many more.
