March Associates was contracted by the Zambia National Education Coalition (ZANEC) to develop the status of education in Zambia report. The study focused on gender in education delivery and the baseline indicators for the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) support. The main objective of the consultancy was to develop the Status of Education in Zambia Report for 2019 covering the period 2017 – 2019. The specific objectives were to report on the status of gender and equity in the education and skills sector and to create baseline data on the GPE grant priority areas. The study was conducted in Lusaka (Lusaka), Copperbelt (Ndola), Central (Kabwe) and Southern (Choma and Pemba) Provinces. The key activities included, data collection, data analysis, main report writing and development of a policy brief.
