March Associates was engaged by World Bank and the Zambian Ministry of Community Development and Social Services (MCDSS) to support the evaluation of the Supporting Women’s Livelihoods (SWL) Project in Zambia. The assignment involved developing and implementing all aspects of a quantitative end-line survey of 7,910 households and 298 communities in Chilubi, Itezhi Tezhi, Gwembe, Lufwanyama, Mafinga, Mugwi, Petauke, Nalolo, Samfya and Zambezi districts. Fieldwork data collection began on 19th March 2023 and was concluded in August 2023. Prior to that, field pilot/pre-test was done at the end of January 2023 over a 5-days period in Rufunsa District. Being a panel study, the endline survey used the same sampling design and followed the same households interviewed at baseline (2018) and midline (2021).
